Croatia Yoga & Sail Retreat

You wake up on anchor, usually to the sound of nothing at all. The dinghy runs ashore before the heat arrives and we practise for an hour on solid ground, on a beach or under pines, somewhere that will belong entirely to the twelve of you for as long as you are standing on it. Swim back to the boat or ride back, whichever you feel like, and breakfast is laid out in the cockpit by the time you get there.

Our Yoga & Sail Retreat setting off from Rogoznica, Croatia combines a relaxed week on the water with daily yoga sessions ashore. The hours in between are yours. Take a turn at the helm, get through the book you keep meaning to finish, or to lie in the warm Croatian sun and do nothing much at all.

Come and join us on a boutique yoga sailing week through the Croatian islands. No need to charter the whole boat. Take your cabin and step aboard.

The Route

We sail the middle of the Dalmatian coast out of Rogoznica, which is the stretch where the islands gather closest together. That geography is the whole reason we chose it. The crossings are short and forgiving, the mornings are unhurried, and you are never giving up half a day to get somewhere when you could be in the water instead.

The route takes its shape from the weather, which along this coast is part of the pleasure rather than a caveat. We will always tell you the plan for the day over morning coffee, and we will tell you the moment it changes and exactly why, because a skipper who reaches a town purely because it was printed in a brochure is a skipper nobody should want.

A Typical Day Onboard

Morning

You wake up on anchor, usually to the sound of nothing at all. The dinghy runs ashore before the heat arrives and we practise for an hour on solid ground, on a beach or under pines, somewhere that will belong entirely to the twelve of you for as long as you are standing on it. Swim back to the boat or ride back, whichever you feel like, and breakfast is laid out in the cockpit by the time you get there.

Pre-Lunch

The skipper runs through the day over coffee, then we lift the anchor and sail. Crossings here are short and mostly gentle, which leaves plenty of time to learn how the boat works if that interests you, or to lie on the foredeck and read a book or just enjoy the ride.

Lunch

We anchor in a bay and the chef serves lunch in the cockpit, cooked on board that morning. We build the menu around what is fresh. So you will be eating Dalmatian tomatoes, fish landed that morning, olive oil pressed a few kilometres from where you are sitting, and herbs that grow on the hillside behind the bay.

Afternoon

Because your teacher is on board for the whole week rather than just meeting you for two classes a day, the afternoons are when she becomes something closer to a private teacher. This is the time to sit down with her one to one and work on something that is yours.

Evening

As the day cools, it’s time for the second workout of the day. For the rest of the evening you are free to explore the new destination, enjoy some alone time, and get together for a shared dinner at a local restaurant. Please don't hesitate to ask the skipper and cook for their top restaurant tips if you want to eat at a restaurant or go out for a drink.

Night

After dinner and your last yoga session, we invite you to do some stargazing, play games, or just enjoy your private time inside your cabin with a good movie. We will bring a projector to watch some good classics onboard under the night sky as well while enjoying a drink of your choice. We will bring a variation of herbal teas and local wines.

Explore Your Yacht

We will charter a catamaran with at least 42 feet of length as a premier boutique option, comfortably hosting up to 8 guests each. Our vessels will feature a modern design, air conditioning, and cabin layouts we will confirm with you in detail before you commit. The images below are example pictures of how a catamaran this size looks like.

Choose Your Cabin

Not all cabins on a catamaran are the same, and we would rather explain the difference now than have you find out on day one. Pick the one that suits you and tell us on the form.

How A Catamaran Is Layed Out

A catamaran is two hulls with a living room bridged between them. The saloon and the kitchen sit up in the middle at eye level with windows all round, so you are not below deck when you are inside. The cockpit is the covered seating at the back, and that is where you will eat every meal.

The cabins are down in the hulls. Because there are two separate hulls, there are two separate staircases — so you are not all filing past each other in one corridor the way you would be on a monohull. That is the real privacy difference, and it is the main reason we only charter catamarans.

Master Cabin

A wide island double set into the aft end of the hull, where the boat is at its most generous and the water is right there beside you. The hull window sits at eye level from the pillow, so you wake up looking straight out at the bay. Bathroom arrangements on this cabin are confirmed with you before you commit, and we will tell you exactly what your boat offers.

Guest Cabin

A full double forward in the hull, with its own hull window, its own overhead hatch, and its own bathroom with a shower. It sits in the quietest part of the boat, tucked away from the cockpit, which makes it the one people ask for when they like an early night and a slow morning.

You occupy any of the cabins alone. In case you want to bring a friend, both of you only pay 75% of the cabin price per person (5980€ -> 4480€). Reach out to us if you would like to be paired with someone fitting to split the costs.
